National Peppermint Patty Day

2:40 in the morning and we arrived at the Albany Airport Best Western to switch drivers ("Goodbye" to Bob; and "Hello" to Charlie Chipper (shade alert)).  I can't say jthat I've taken 40 winks, probably closer to only 7 or 8 given my positioning for the last 7 hours.

It's starting to feel colder outside, much colder..  At least it has stopped snowing.  The highlights of this stop is access to the hotel's bathroom and the hotel's sign:  "Welcome to Albany.  Today is National Peppermint Patty Day". or, I guess yesterday was National Peppermint Patty Day, unless the folks here at the Best Western are incredibly efficient and put the sign up pre-dawn.  In any event, I'm sure I'll slouch off to slumberland pondering just what exactly is National Peppermint Patty Day ...
