I didn't have time last night, before the Sandman came knocking, to get all these posted. Here is a link to a short video of our first minutes in Quebec during a peaceful little snow:

Shortly thereafter, the sun came out and the temperature warmed up a bit (it got up to almost the freezing point). We only had time for a little exploration of the immediate area around the Chateau Frontenac before we had to head out to the team's light practice. The boys were surprisingly "high-energy" at their practice and appeared to show very few ill affects from the all-night bus ride (the parents watching from the stands much less so...).
In the evening, after a short rest back at the hotel, we traveled on the bus to the Le (Coliseum) arena, where the team registered with the tournament and the boys dropped off their hockey gear. After 5pm, the host families began to arrive and the boys said goodbye to their parents and went home for the evening from Le Colisee with the billet families. It was a very dear moment.
Happy Birthday Henry!I have enjoyed seeing your pictures and following your adventures. Gail
